Select the desired option
The first time you start the software,
you will be presented with the menu
shown here. Select the top choice if
you are connected to the internet
and ready to register your software.
Otherwise, select "Trial Mode", which will allow you to enter up to
5 items, giving you an idea of how the software works.

Enter your Serial #
Locate your Serial # that is on
a sticker in the Asset Recovery Kit or was provided
to you at the time of your purchase.
Enter it into the software in the
box provided.
Click Next.

Enter your PIN
A four digit number (referred to as
your PIN) provides basic protection for
your information. It is required to use
the software after the initial activation
process is complete. Enter your desired
PIN into the box provided. This is included in the
activation process so it can be retrieved for you should it be
forgotten or lost.
Click Next.

Register on the website
Confirm the values that were entered, then click the
button to launch this registration page on this site:
www.capturemyassets.com/getlicense
Your values should automatically be
transferred if launched from the software. Also, the software will automatically
progess to the next step in the background while a browser window will load in the foreground.
Please note that the computer running the software must be connected
to the internet for your values to be automatically transferred. You can
go to another computer and manually enter the values requested.

Complete the registration form
Follow the instructions on the
page to complete the form. Click the Submit My Registration button
at the bottom after entering your details.
Be sure to enter an email address for which you have access as
your License Key will be sent to that address. Also, if you forget
your PIN in the future, you can use this form to have your
information sent to you via email.

Receive your License Key
Submit the form with the required
details to generate your License Key.
This key must be entered into the
software — you will want to copy and
paste it to avoid typing errors.
Please note that some browsers may provide a button
that can be clicked to copy the Key without you having to highlight it and
manually do so.
Please write down your License Key.

Enter your License Key
Return to the software and enter the
Key into the box provided. If you copied
the text on the clipboard, click the Paste
Key button to transfer it into the box
provided. Otherwise, type in your key
exactly as it was shown on the website.
Click Next.

Confirm and unlock
If your License Key is entered correctly, you
should be presented with a final review of your information.
Otherwise, you will be prompted to re-enter it.
Click Unlock to activate your software. Once unlocked, this software can be
used on any computer that meets the requirements
as long as you have the PIN.

Start using the software
You should see a Congratulations
page that confirms you completed
the process successfully. Click OK to begin using the software immediately.
Please note that you are not required to enter your PIN this time, but every
time you start the software afterwards it will be required.
